   You make it sound so easy. It aint.

   Firstly if you are tempted to swear in French then remember the French knights in ‘Monty Python and the Holy Grail’. You will ALWAYS sound like that to the French but in English. Starting off with an ‘already stupid’ image is not helpful if you want to sound aggressive. Few and I mean very-few manage to hide their nationality/accent. If you need articles like this ( which is very good incidentally ) then you still have a long way to go.

   Swear in another language : Just dont. It makes you sound like a neanderthal and is very likely to cause an aggressive response especially if there are kids within earshot. Also expect to get banned from wherever you happen to be ( with the exception of nightclubs/ real bars ).

   The French attitude to swearing is about the same as 50s Britain. Swear in the wrong place and it can cost you dearly on the social scale. And dont think you can change social norms either…..that is for the real fools.

     I agree that cursing in French is not classy. You can look like a fool - or worse. If you tried to use any of these sayings in a professional setting - expect to be in trouble.

     I simply created this article because I was asked several times about how to say these things.

     “Casse-toi” would work; it’s pronounced “kas-twa”

         Cul sec means to “take a shot” of alcohol. And alcoholic shots are oftentimes called “un shooter” in French.

     Bleh….stick to plain ol English swearing, everyone on the planet knows what Fuck you, middle finger, kiss off means. If not let !them’ look it up!
